Hello everyone, I was intrested in knowing what are some of the things that you all are doing to keep in contact with clients? I have recently stopped sending out monthly newsletters to my contact list because I had several people in my contact list who went with other agents for there serveices. I feel like i was used for information. I know as a Realtor we have to have tougher skin, but after awhile it take a toll on you. Any Suggestions

Desmond, I wouldn't stop sending out your newsletter, not all of the people in your Sphere of Influence is going to use you as their agent (as much as we would like them to). If you're concerned about the few that have chosen other agents over you, remove them from your list if you feel you must, but don't stop marketing to the majority that haven't moved or purchased yet - you could be missing out later. If it's a cost issue, you could switch your newsletter to an electronic version as opposed to hard copy. Good luck! It's never easy when someone you know chooses another agent, but you just have to keep on going and tell yourself - NEXT!

One thing I can suggest is to change the timing on your mailings. I've found the greatest response on mailings when something goes out every 21 days instead of monthly...more often is pesky and for some reason the monthly ones kept hitting 'golly we just listed or bought'. BUt Kelly's right-you have to stick with it even when it's frustrating-persistence wins the day.

Thank you for you all input. I am back in Business!!! I have already secured 3 potential clients. I was talking to another person in a different industry an she was having the same issues. To recover she simply moved on.. :)
