Google Loves Active Rain Posts

Last week I did a post about the Prince William County, Virginia Fire Chief retiring.  This lady has won national and international acclaim for her leadership development skills.  There was a major celebration in her honor at The National Museum of the Marine Corps which my husband and I attended.  I don't know who Googled what, but my post appeared and she has been getting lots of phone calls thanking her for her service and commenting on the post.  It's a pleasure to know my post had some part in recognizing the public service accomplishments of a friend. I write tons of  localism.com posts for this very reason. I have written alot about a new mall and get many phone calls asking me what time the mall is open to, where is the easy spirit shoe store, etc.

It is the main reason I blog on AR, because Google loves it and your posts appear faster than anything else I have come across.

Karen, my posts have consistently gotten better ranking than my own website.

Hi Karen:  That is just awesome.  Ahhh... the power of Google, and the power of Localism andActive Rain.  Great Job.   By the way, in the late 80's when I sold new homes in Centreville and Manassas, I had a friend in one of the local RE/MAX offices named Diane Davis.  Her full name was R. Diane Davis, for Rosalie Diane Davis, although she never used the R or the name Rosalie.  She had a son, and she and I became friends... although since I moved away in 1992 I have lost track of her.

I think when I knew her, she lived in Springfield, VA... just off 95 a bit to the west of it.  Any chance you knew her?  I would love to make contact with her again.  Anyway... way to go for the praise you brought to retiring Fire Chief.  Cool !
