Eats in Sarasota and Beyond…

Well today’s blog is decidedly un-geeky. I am going to talk about my other passion…food! Yes, I think I live in the most wonderful place on earth. Not only is it beautiful but we have some of the finest dining anywhere. You can find literally any type of cuisine here and it is fabulous. In fact, my best friend and I go out to eat every Friday night and recently have been venturing outside our usual comfortable places and have found some gems. But…let me start with my favorites. Top of the list is sushi and if you are like me and just can’t get enough of it then Ichiban on Stickney Point Rd. is your place. They have some of the freshest most delicious sushi around AND an all you can eat special for $19.95 (cash price)!! It’s amazing! Now for my “healthy” place to eat, it’s a toss-up between Sweet Tomatoes and Monterey Grill. Actually, no, I take that back. Monterey Grill wins; hands down. They have fantastic, fresh salads for those of us watching our weight. Now for a few others…Peruvian Grill is very good, as is Chutney’s Etc. for Indian/Mediterranean food.  Another little gem discovered recently is Derek’s Culinary Casual; absolutely scrumptious. And if you live in or are visiting Bradenton, I highly recommend Ezra which is Asian Fusion.
