I'm speaking to the Body of Christ now, Who Are YOU? Do you know? We see the result of our current education system and the greek mindset that it's based on at play in most people we have contact with. We were created for better things for sure. We are the most valued of all spirits ever created in this world. Do you think God picks the spirits he wants in his creation at random? I don't believe that for a second. God is a purposeful and intentional God. He picked this time to put you and me here, for such a time as this.
Jeremiah 1:4,5 says:
4The Lord spoke his word to me,
5“Before I formed you in the womb,
I knew you.
Before you were born,
I set you apart for my holy purpose.
I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.”
Now in place of the word prophet, interject whatever your destiny is. This word was for Jeremiah and yet it reveals God's heart for us all corporately. I picture it like this: There is a place where God has stored all the spirits He has ever created. Before the earth was formed, before there was light, back when in the beginning was the Word... God knew YOU! He set you apart for a Holy purpose before time began. That is not my opinion, it's what the Word says. I believe it, every bit of it. If you don't know what your destiny is, get in your secret place and find out, we all have one.
Now think about this, how valuable was Abraham, the father of all nations? How valuable was Moses who led the Hebrews out of Eygpt? How valuable was David? The man after God's own heart... then look at John, Peter, Paul?? How about post biblical people like Luther or Calvin or Wesley or Whitfield or Evan Roberts or John G. Lake or Billy Graham? You are more valuable to God than any of them. Why do I think that? Because we came after them. God intended them to inspire us to be even bigger and better. We were saved until the last days. None of the aforementioned were asked to come at these times. We are just as valuable as Peter who was the rock that Christ's church was formed. You are just as valuable as Paul, the greatest evangelist of all times... until now. And your children and your children's children will be even greater than us!
When we take ahold of this concept, knowing just who we are. When we discover just how valuable we are and what we can accomplish in Christ, we will not be bogged down by the news of the day, we will not be tripped up by the distractions of our day. We will rise on the wings of eagles, soaring to new heights in Him. It's not about disciplines or traditions, it's about realizing just who we were created to be.
All we have to do is put our heel down and crush the head of our enemy. The hard work has been done already. When there is something that seems to be blocking your way, look past it. It is simply a diversion of the enemy. It is a screen that you must push aside and look beyond. When something bogs you down, you have terrible news... just ask the Lord: "What does this mean?" "What do you want me to do?" "What is it you want to be for me now?" You will be amazed at His response. Be thankful in all things. We've found that terrible news is just a Blessing in disguise if you ask these simple questions at those times, you will find out.
I've heard it put this way: God placed your face/destiny out there in the future somewhere. He already sees your face in the place of your destiny. Our job, our whole journey is to get our butts where our faces are! The only way to do that is to realize who we are exactly, stop believing lies of the enemy and only listen to His voice and what He says about us. You were created for this, you are the cream of the crop, the top of the heap and THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS of all time! You have been set apart for your Holy purpose! He appointed you to be a ______________ for the nations!
