So, the snow in Short Hills has finally melted and I am actually starting to see sprouts popping up in plant beds at many of the homes I show and visit. This winter has been brutal here in this part of New Jersey, where Essex, Morris and Union Counties meet, but we are seeing definite signs of life in the gardens and in the real estate community. Open house visits are up, we had 14 closings and 13 more go under contract in February, not bad considering there were only about 65 or so available listings through most of the winter. We have also added about 25 new listings to that since Feb 1 and the buyers and sellers are coming out of hibernation.
I hope where you are the same is happening and wish everyone an active spring market.
