Boulder County Real Estate: Featured Artist Series, Chris Butler

I always enjoy when I have the opportunity to connect with one of my past clients; even more so when that past client also happens to be a dear friend.

During a conversation with my client, Chris Butler, today, I discovered he has been busy getting ready for another art show.  Chris's work will be showcased at the Old Fire House Art Center in Longmont beginning May 13th.  His showcase will run at the Old Fire House for five weeks.

This blog is to let all of you who know Chris, a heads up to pencil in a weekend during this time frame to visit the Old Fire House and see a huge collection of Chris's original works of art.  Some of the pieces are Gigantic and not easily transported, so it isn't every day, you'll have the distinct pleasure of seeing his artwork up close and personal.

For those of you who do not know Chris, you're in for a real treat.  Chris is a talented artist working in a variety of mediums including paper sculpture, oil paintings, mixed media, pen and ink.  However, Chris is one of only a few artists nationwide who specialize in the art of paper sculpture.  Visit The Chris Buttler Collection to learn more about Paper Art Sculpture.

While the pictures of Chris's paper sculpture are pretty impressive, they pale in comparison to the experience of actually seeing the artwork in person.  The levels of three dimensional detail are breathtaking.
