Friday's Fotos - There is an Easier Way

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Venture Realty International

This woodpecker seems to have found an easier way.  He has been visiting the bird feeder instead of beating his head against the trees.

Patricia, I thought that he looked pretty. And I was surprised to see him at the bird feeder. Definitely a smart bird.

Does seem like a smart bird.  I suspect on occassion though a woodpecker finds something that wants to bite back.

Charles, This one seems smart - except he probably should have flown south for the winter.

Sharon, It is amazing to watch birds.  I didn't think that I would enjoy my mom's bird feeder, but I do.  And it is fantastic to watch the eagles and hawks.

All of the different types of woodpeckers in our yard feed off the feeder whenever they have an opportunity, Gary. Or maybe it's when they have a headache :)

Gary,

I would bet that Mr. Woodpecker is looking forward to the warmer weather and all it has to bring with it.

Toni, The woodpeckers that I have seen before have been in the summer and never near the feeder. I'm wondering if this one and others will use the feeder now that he has discovered it.

Don,  I bet he is looking forward to some warm weather.  I know that I am.

Steve, I've never paid a lot of attention to birds before.  I think that hummingbirds have to be my favorites.

Gary, Smart bird to take advantage of the food at your feeder.  Looks like a downy woodpecker, but I'm not 100% sure, because it is larger than the ones I see in my neck of the woods.   Thanks for joining the BIRDS Group.  I look forward to more of your offerings!

Thanks to Pat for the heads up about the Group!

Gloria, I looked on line and guessed that it is a downy woodpecker - but I am certainly no expert. I just have fun taking the photos.  I'm excited to be in the group and you will see more posts in the future.
