This past week, I have run into a couple of issues on Short Sales with my sellers.In both cases, they questioned (without really saying it) whos side I was on. I am trying to help both of them avoid foreclosure and that takes some give and take with the banks. It has to be a win-win for both sides to make a deal happen. That is what you hired me to do.

In both cases, the homes are listed for well under $100,000. Before splits with my broker, I am looking at about $2,000 and one I am looking at just a few hundred dollars. With all of the additional work that goes into a short sale with listing the home, taking pictures, uploading on the MLS, dealing with multiple offers, dealing with the bank(s), dealing with a second round of buyers when the first group walks...... It goes on and on it is not about the money. When people see all of the work that goes into this and then find out that less than 50% of these close, why would a Realtor take this on?

It is to help OUR client. It is not for the money. I could probably make more per hour at In-and-Out.

So when you are stressed out about your short sale, do not take it out on your agent. They are working hard and doing their best to get you out of a difficult situation.
