Located only 3 miles from Madison Wisconsin is the community of Cottage Grove. Being both a town and a village sharing most services ; you will find it to be one of the most friendly and unique places ever.
I grew up In Monona and used to spend every weekend at My aunt and uncle's house In Cottage Grove. Back then there were 403 residents. After graduating from monona grove high school in 1973 I left for California to find my fortune.
After my son was born I knew I had to return to give him the same educational opportunities I recieved and Get him in the Monona Grove School System. Imagine my surprise that my sleepy little hamlet had grown up and is now 5500+ people.
The people are still the same and the education system is one of the best in the country. Yes I still hate the snow but until my son graduates high school-you will find us right here in our beautiful little village.
