Pinehurst Living | New Pizza Restaurant In Southern Pines, NC | Ledo Pizza
Located near the intersection of Old US Hwy 1 and New US Hwy 1 in Southern Pines is one of Moore County's newest lunch/dinner restaurants. The location was the home to a used car lot before Ledo Pizza moved in! I drive by this location often, and I watched as they gutted the building and gave it a shiny new contemporary vibe.
I first found them on facebook, before actually dining there, and 'Liked' their business fan page. They post 'specials' all the time and they also offer some really outstanding deals only to their facebook fans! So, I suggest you 'Like' their page and take advantage of those offers!!!
My 'other-half', Vince, LOVES pizza...when I say 'LOVES'...I mean, that I could feed him pizza everyday and he'd not complain. So, after I saw that Ledo Pizza had opened their doors for business, I told him that he and the guys should go there for lunch and try out the pizza. I didn't have to mention it twice, I think he has already eaten lunch there about 6 or 8 times in the past couple of months. I have to assume that he liked it, since he kept going back.
We were out and about today and decided to eat out for lunch. I had not yet been to Ledo Pizza, so I suggested we go there for lunch and Vince was on board, of course.....because, they have pizza!
It was around 12:30pm when we arrived and the parking lot was almost full. That was a good sign as far as I'm concerned!!! It's a 'Seat Yourself' kind of place....No Problem....There were lots of family's and couples enjoying their meals and conversation, but we were able to find a table that was open. The menus are on the table, so we each grabbed one and started to review the many options, such as: Salads, Calzones, Stromboli, Subs, Ciabattas, Pasta & Pizza!
A server promptly asked us for our beverage order while we continued to review the menu. Ledo's does serve beer and wine...yahoo!!! The only thing I didn't like on the menu was the fact that they serve Pepsi products. I'm a Coke Cola kinda girl.
I ordered the 'Soup, Salad & Breadsticks'...which comes with ENDLESS Salad & Breadsticks. The Salad is an Italian Salad with their house dressing. It was a mix of fresh greens, with tomatoes, olives, pepperoncinis, italian cold cuts & provolone cheese....YUMMY! You can choose between the Italian Wedding Soup or the Soup of The Day. I chose the Wedding Soup, which was also delicious. The breadsticks were fresh, hot and covered with garlic butter....YUMMY, again!!! I highly recommend this dish, but make sure you're hungry....really hungry!!!
Vince ordered a Ciabatta Combo (can you believe it...?) instead of pizza. He had the Chicken Parmesan Ciabatta with a side salad and he said it was really good! I didn't sample it, only because I was so full from my own meal. It looked really tasty!
My overall rating for Ledo Pizza in Southern Pines is a BIG THUMBS UP!!! I'll go back for lunch and/or dinner!
