Claremont chart graphicOf the ten cities in "My Little Corner of the World" (MLCOTW), Claremont, CA is definitely one of the most desirable in which to live in my opinion, with the world famous Claremont Colleges, it's "Village" atmosphere shopping and the well developed sense of community. Add to that the great school system and varied architecture, and you have a great place to live. Apparently, others think the same thing as very few of the homes in this community are for sale.

Of the 90 active listings, 20% are priced at or over $1,000,000. The highest is $4,000,000. One of these high end properties has almost 11,000 square feet of living space and sports a six car garage. Any one interested?

The numbers generally speak for themselves. The one anomaly is the 20.2% Month-Over-Month Average Selling Price increase. The number is accurate, but the reader should also understand that there was a 15.7% increase in the average square feet of sold units. The average price per S.F. increased only 4%.
