Another AR trick up my sleeve!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Nova Scotia Real Estate Blog

Today our tech guy was in- He is at University and comes in Tuesday mornings and Wednesday Afternoons. I asked him if I could put a link to AR from My E-mail Signature . We tried various methods but failed. So I forwarded all my mail over to my G-mail account and played with the link a little bit. He used some Firefox plugin called "Grease Monkey" and played around for a couple minutes and here is what he came up with! I may tweak it a bit over time, but it will do for now.

Both the Active Rain button and my name come up as links to my AR home page!

If anyone wants a more detailed explanation of how he managed this - Just leave me a post and I'll get him to e-mail me a "simplified" version of how he did it. I'll get it out to you ASAP! Just think of how many e-mails you send a day!

*** Note the following is a cut and paste of the actual - the links don't work here***

Here is how he did it. He is a programmer. - Might not be something easily done without a tech guy in you office. If you are having problems -let me know and you can contact Ben yourself.

Quite frankly I am not exactly sure what the benefit would be.

I assume that if this is part of your email signature the reader is someone you most likely know.  Why would you direct a Canadian client to a predominately American site?

Also would it not be more beneficial to point that potential client directly to your own website rather then a site in which they could choice from a number of your competitors?

Just a thought.  Maybe not a good one but a thought just the same.

That is pretty cool!  Make sure you let the "powers that be" at AR know about it and they may give you some BONUS points to reward your advertising efforts and creativity!
