solutions for your "stuff"

Got too much stuff that doesn't necessarily have a "spot?" Every time I move I struggle with the same items, wondering what would be the best place for them. Most of the time the same things end up in my closet, homeless. I've recently come across people doing some creative spot-givingto those homeless items. One of my favorites is the book end table. This one is for those book worms that have five hundred thousand books that they simply can't part with, but would like to display some or keep some handy. Simply stack your books up next to a couch or chair (or other desired spot for a table) in some sort of visually pleasing way and voila! End Table magic. I've seen them stacked in order from largest to smallest (largest on bottom) and completely randomly. It was cute both ways! Another favorite is the lazy susan. This little brilliant piece of workmanship can really help to organize your most cluttered spaces. For example, I use one in my pantry for those random spices that I've acquired. This way, I can look to see what I have really easily with a simple turn and I don't end up with duplicates of the random things I've bought before but forgot about. I also use one for my bathroom supplies that I use every morning. It helps keep the counter clear and my husband happier. And last but not least, if you're like me, you have some how acquired random knives that don't belong in your knife set. What do you do with those to keep them sharp and out of the way but still accessible? Get a magnetic strip to hang on your kitchen wall and put those puppies up there. Another perk to this method is that it always makes me feel like more of a chef than I am. There's just something about have big knives hanging that takes a kitchen up a few notches.
