Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow. ~Douglas Pagels,These Are the Gifts I'd Like to Give to You
As I write this, my husband and I are planning a trip to Fredericksburg, TX. It is a small town about 200 some odd miles west of our home in Houston. I’m not exactly sure what all we will do while we are there, but our time will likely include a drive over to Enchanted Rock and browsing the Nimitz Museum while we are there. Frankly, the less we do, the happier we will be. We need to rest.
By the time this blog is posted, we will have returned for our long weekend, recharged and ready to go. I do not want to spend the Sunday evening that we return to Houston on work so I’m writing this ahead of time. No reason to dive right back in, right?
We work hard in this business. I’m willing to bet that no one reading this post that works in the real estate business works what we call “normal” hours. Normal is relative, isn’t it? We must be flexible, and we must be prepared. Doing well in real estate takes energy, and in order to maintain the high standard of service we pride ourselves on, we must occasionally stop, and rest.
I love Home Staging, and starting my own Home Staging business was a good choice for me. I want to continue to love what I do, so for just a few days, I will stop, reflect, and appreciate what I have. The only message this blog contains is for those of you who work hard no matter what business you are in. If God rested, why would we think we don’t have too? Every now and again, it is okay, to slow down, take a break and rest.
Wishing you a quick sale!
