When you are out traveling around, have you ever experienced coming to the end of the road? I suppose everyone has one of those adventures. It has happened a lot to me.
We used to have a saying when I lived in Georgia: "You can't get there from here". Sometimes I am struck with the idea that this is a true datum.
Perhaps you are familiar with the experience when you are asked to go take a photo of a house for a bank or mortgage company, and you hit the trail on your quest anticipating no problems. I have included here a few photos of I have taken in my adventures, that I thought were interesting.
There is always the typical one with the chain across the driveway that reads ‘private property' and no clear sign of the house down that drive. Love those when they happen. I am not into trespassing, so I go with the best possible photo in those scenarios.
Then there is this one with the ‘Road ends' sign was where my GPS took me, and of course the house I was looking for was down that road, over this mystery bridge and around the corner. As you can see from this photo, I did not quite get there.
End of the road.
So, I of course had to retrace my steps and go the long way around in this rural area by way of Tokyo and Egypt, and eventually got to where I was supposed to be and took my photos.
This last one with the ‘haunted house' ribbon was a fun one. I just thought that was an amusing shot, so I took it.
My first assumption is that it was a left over from Halloween, but when you consider I took this photo in early September, it makes one wonder... I did not have to go inside this one, so I cannot confirm or deny the presence of any ghosts, so I did not call ghost busters.
As a Realtor, I tend to drive the rural roads in search of homes a great deal, I never know what I am going to find. So every day is an adventure, and you never know when you will reach the end of the road and have to start all over again. Sometimes the end of the road looks different, and sometimes it is a little strange.
Have you ever arrived at the 'End of the Road'?
