March Real Estate Market Report for the Capital District
Celebrate the beginnging of spring with buying a new home!
February hit a record high with tempetures reaching as low as 5 degrees below Zero and the snow total for the Capital District was at over 30 inches. This will make for the fifth snowiest February on record for the Capital District. It is now time to look forward to St. Patricks Day Celebrations through out the Capital District as well as daylight savings time.
March Monthly Real Estate Market Report
Lets take a look at the real estate market during the month of February 2011. For resale single family homes in the Capital District snow didn't seem to effect the number of pendings on the real estate market.
Pending sales increased nearly 11%. This number represents 322 pending units for the real estate market in February. This departs from the idea that not many people buy real estate during the winter months. Snow has not slowed down the real estate market this February.
This is a great time for sellers to list there home on the real estate market in the Capital District as well as buyers to buy. More sellers have adjusted there list price on the real estate market to incentify buyers. As 577 sellers reduced their listing price on the real estate market in the Capital District.
The Capital District real estate market, overall has appreciated 3.4%. Saratoga County real estate market increased by 7.7%.
