It was with great sadness that I learned last spring that the Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink would be shut down for repair. I had skated on its surface approximately 20 times during the winter of 2009-2010 and enjoyed it very much.
It is a great piece of the community that is available for birthday parties, public skating, and hockey. However it was in need of some repairs to bring it to life.
When the rink is repaired in Fall 2011, it will have all the latest techology. The rink will be able to stay open for a much longer period of time. The anticipated ice season will be from September to April.
Although we had to go without the beloved ice rink this season, it will be worth the wait!
