For a while now we've been watching the building of the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts on the corner of 5th St and 12th Ave. Last summer it was just a hole in the ground. This summer is the scheduled opening. It seems building a Performing Arts Center is no different to building a regular house. There are milestones that are met along the way. Today is such a milestone. Today is your chance to meet the New Performing Arts Managing Director, Megan Flanagan at a Public Reception at the new facility.
Public Reception & Tours - Coralville Center for the Performing Arts March 8, 2011
When? Tuesday March 8, 2011
What Time? 4.30pm - 6.30pm
Where? Meeting Room A, Coralville Public Library. (Behind the new facility on the corner of 5th St and 12th Ave).
Building has progressed to the point where the City of Coralville can offer tours of the new facility for residents to view the progress so far. It is a construction zone so no place for the cocktail dress and high heels! The City of Coralville recommends sturdy closed toe shoes with good traction to make the tour. The face of Coralville is certainly changing, that's a fact. The Marriott and the businesses along Quarry Rd highlight that. The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts will do even more to promote this wonderful little town I call home.
You can find more in depth information about the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts on the City of Coralville website.
