So, I was watching HGTV this past winter and decided to make a career change... I'll be a Home Stager.
How does one become a stager? Easy,, google home staging. Need I say more... I took a course, came up with a busines name, built a website, ordered business cards, applied for a business license,,opened a business checking account... Now, I am ready to start my new glamorous and exciting career. I can not wait to get those creative juices flowing.... It will be so much fun to spend time shopping and reading design magazines........
Six months later,,,
6:00 a.m. Alarm Clock Goes Off
7:20a.m. Take Kids to School
9:00a.m. Drive 10 miles to Furniture Rental Store
9:45a.m. Builder calls to say he is running late for our consultation, can we meet at 10:30
9:50a.m. Furniture Store calls to ask if I can meet them at 11:00 instead of 12:00
10:30a.m. Waiting for builder for another project
11:00a.m. Builder worth the wait, agreement to stage vacant signed, deposit in hand
11:05a.m. Call furniture store to see where the furniture is,,, furniture delivery guys are lost
11:45a.m. Furniture in place,,,Oh NO,,, the color of the furniture does not look the same as when I saw it in the showroom... oh well,,, a well placed throw and a few pillows and Voila...beautiful
4:00p.m. Leave house to shop for additional accessories and buy spray paint for old wicker chairs
5:00p.m. Spray paint wicker chairs to go on front porch
6:00p.m. Feed my family, take out
7:00p.m. Run back over to the house to make sure pillows and throw will work
9:45p.m. Check email,,,make sure van is packed for the next day...
So,, I wanted to be a Home Stager..... It is crazy, hectic, and lots more work than I thought it would be..
Would I do it again??/ Absolutely, this is the most FUN I have ever had!!!!!!!!!
