Colorado Spring Means Powder

By
Real Estate Agent with Novella Real Estate

The trees in the plains will be budding but up in the high-country of Colorado spring means powder.  That's white, fresh, fluffy deep powder, perfect for riding.

My son, who I must say broke his leg the very first time he ever skiied (he was 5), never gave it up.  It might because all the nurses made a big deal over him, signing his caste and making him feel very important.  Or it might be because in the instant before the pain of the break hit, he felt the all encompasing excitment that only comes from speeding downhill.

Whatever it was, he was forever taken with the sport.  As you can see in this video, he's a good snowboarder and a pretty good videographer too!

Enjoy the ride even if only vicariously!

KK- Suh-Weet!  I love the skiing here.  I learned to ski in Snowmass when I was 4 and that has been my absolute favorite place to ski of all time.  See you on the slopes!

My 4 year old wants to learn how to snow board so badly. Maybe I will send him to your family for a week. LOL.

KK - That was a wild ride. Guess you would have to be pretty good to make it down the hill through all those trees. I'm not into winter sports but am pretty impressed with what I see people doing. Or they are nuts!

Jeff, I prefer not to watch when they ski in the trees.  It does make me nervous!  Of course when I was their age I did pretty much the same thing, only on skiis.

WOW Kirstal, I did enjoy the ride and the music.  I would be really tired after the ride..do they have lifts to take them back up the mountain?

Hi Kristal, That was very cool,  thrilling, actually.  He did a wonderful job getting it all on video too!  We used to go down hill on cross country skis, I loved that.  Never tried snowboarding.

Mary, I've never tried snowboarding either.  Figure it's best not to try to teach an old dog new tricks!  Cross country skis are my favorite way to travel these days.

Rebecca, This day Rich did, but many snowboarders go down the mountain and hitchhike back up.

Kristal we got a ton of the white fluffy stuff this January, but February was much kinder.  In order to do any skiing around here now you have to travel about 300 miles north.  They just got hit with another big storm so lots of good skiing up there
