Focus on Your Goals

"Success is steady progress toward

one's personal goals."

Jim Rohn, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Focus on your goals

Our goals are our vision of the future as we want it to be. The goals we establish are the mile makers on our success journey and a way to measure our progress. It also gives our success journey direction and a way to monitor our self to ensure that we are on course to reach our objectives.

In realty our success journey moves at a difference pace at difference times. Some days we will take a giant leap forward, other days it may be a baby step. While other days we may not make any progress.

A key to our goals is to keep your eyes on the prize and not to become distracted by the pace. Success is not always achieved by the person that moves the fastest. You will find that a steady pace in the direction of your goals will keep you moving in the right direction.

Focus on the direction of your success journey not the pace.

Having a successful journey and achieving your goals comes in reaching your desired outcome. Focus on your goals and you are focusing on a successful future.

Lou,  Time moves forward anyway.  Better to have a goal and accomplish it even if it means one step forward and two back sometimes.  The time will pass just the same.  Best to make the most of it and go for your goals.  Thank you.

As long as you know where you are going and planned your steps there is a very real chance you'll get there.

Great post Lou, I think one must celebrate the small victories along the way. This is what I fail to do most of the time, but I think it is import to help one get to the next level.

Keep your Eye on the Goal... not on the Crowd, not on the Cheerleaders (or Naysayers), not on the Countless other Distractions.

Nice Blog, Lou!

Goal are great to have along with a visual map of what steps need to be taken as well as a time line.

Very well put.  Having focus is key to success.  Having set goals to me, defines what I focus on and prioritize on.  And I write them down. I've found keeping myself accountable is very rewarding and, looking back, it helps me evaluate myself as well.

Thanks Lou.  Keeping the focus on the goal and not getting discouraged if every day is not a huge step forward, as long as you are at least moving in that direction.

Lou, this is true, sometimes it seems like you are staying in place, but then there might be a huge movement forward. Othertimes is plodding. Just one step at a time.
