"The Role Social Networking will play in my business".

I've never been a blogger.  My daughter has blogged for hours on end and I wonder, what she is writing about.  Her fingers will just be pounding the keys at a high speed with her emotions expressed clearly through her face. I am in awe as I have quietly watched. I wondered why would anyone blog and who reads blogs?   I've never been one to write just to be writing.  I have to have something to say that someone would want to read.   She must really have a lot to say.

Since joining Active Rain I have seen the reason for blogging. I actually read and enjoy others blogs on Active Rain.  Most I have found informing or have taught me something.  I go through the ratings and see people have written thousands of blogs and just have to say WOW, you must be really smart or something, lol.

I still have a mental block when it comes to blogging.  Interacting all day face to face comes easy for me but to write is a bit different.

I see the importance blogging plays in the role of social networking and how blogging can bring more potential clients my way. Other than market reports and a supplier of information about a specific geographical area, it also allows others to get to know me.  I've been old school in thinking establishing relationships means a physical presence. But as I read the blogs of others, check their stats, comment on their blogs and they on mine, I can see how the internet opens a great opportunity to meet a massive amount of people.  I think we all can grow as we exchange experiences and tips.  I believe our businesses can also grow through refer ring out of town business to one another with greater ease.  It also opens a larger than life amount of potential clients who too would like to get to know a Realtor before the first phone call.

As the World Wide Web has definitely changed our world today, Social Networking done right is a world of opportunities for today's business.
