So, I've decided to write my thoughts about some of the recent restaurants I've visited over the past few months.  Disclaimer: I'm no food critic or pretend to be...

What is Birch & Barley?

This restaurant is located on the lower level of Churchkey, a popular bar with a "unparalleled collection of 555 artisanal beers".  Birch & Barley is at the corner of 14th and Rhode Island Ave. NW in the Logan Circle neighborhood.

The Inside & Menu

The ambiance of the restaurant is trendy, classy, and very romantic.  The type of cuisine is American w/ a unique twist of flavor and food combination on the menu, such as the Ricotta Cavatelli was served with roasted pork, broccoli rabe, pine nuts, and aged provolone.  This is an awesome dish.

Restaurant Pricing

Eating at Birch & Barley is pricey.  Be prepared to spend from $30-$55 for two people dining.  It is definitely worth it.  I highly encourage you to try the Sunday brunch menu.  Overall, the food is great and the customer service is spectacular.  I found it to be a great dining experience.
