30 year mortgage rates rose ever so slightly this week going from 4.87% to 4.88%. Going back a year at this time rates were at 4.95. 15 year mortgage rates stayed exactly the same as last week at 4.15%. Mortgage rates have remained below 5% in every week except one this year leading to record home affordability in the Nyack and Piermont area and all of Rockland. For some Rockland buyers who have been on the fence, this could be a decisive moment.
