Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a Pulitzer Prize winner by Tennessee Williams.
It's a story of a Southern family in crisis gathering at the family plantation home in the Mississippi Delta to celebrate the birthday of wealthy cotton tycoon and patriarch, Big Daddy. The play examines the relationships among members of Big Daddy's family, primarily between Brick, his ex-football son and his trophy wife, Maggie, whom have gathered with his brother's family to celebrate Big Daddy's 65th birthday. Unbeknownst to Big Daddy is that he is dying of cancer and what ensues is each couple's attempt to discredit the other and to put themselves in the position to inherit Big Daddy's enormous wealth.
