The Essential Fundemental To Establishing Your Brand

I was having lunch with a good friend today who happens to be a hair stylist. He is very good at his craft but struggling with too many open slots on his calendar. His biggest slow days were Wednesdays and Thursdays. I asked him a simple question...

"Who would be a good candidate for business on those days?"

After a moment he said, "I would really like to work with stay at home mothers on those days, but the problem is daycare."

Aha, a problem. Buy do I love problems, because in business if we can solve a problem we will never have to worry about having enough customers.

Now knowing about y friend situation, I know that his wife is a stay at home mom, so here was my suggestion...

Why not offer a daycare service only on Wednesdays and Thursdays especially for the stay at home mom. Well, needless to say this idea took off like wildfire and I can't wait to see the results.

So here is the essential fundamental, Find A Problem And Solve It!

What problems can you solve for your real estate clients? Hmm that is a good question. Maybe a good coach could help you work through that!

How much could one idea be worth? To my friend it could mean hundreds of dollars, to a Realtor it could mean thousands! Certainly, it would be worth the cost of coaching!

Shoot me an email if you have ever thought about hiring a business coach! tim@coachtimdavis.com

Tim - terrific post.  I think most folks get caught up in trying to figure out the "how to solve" portion of the riddle.

Keep 'em coming!

Tim,

your post is a great example of the value of having "creative" people in your life that don't have limited/prejudiced thinking.  You were able to see the opportunity where your friend only saw deficit!

Good lesson for all of us, fresh perspective is ultra-valuable!
