I've looked at lots and lots of pictures of homes, on staging sites, on real estate for sale. I've seen images too dark to really get a good view, fuzzy images, and photographs that have the look of a pro. And my pictures generally come out well.... perhaps just not as well as I would like. That being said I think it's time to upgrade to a better camera. I've looked at many and the more I look the more confused I get. Are you satisfied with the shots you are taking ? Some of you have gorgeous before and after pictures, some even have the courtesy to provide the information on what you are using to shoot them. So what are you using ? Are you happy with it ? What are the best features ? I need something that I don't have to be Ansel Adams to take great shots... HELP!
I use a digital canon camera. I found that once I bought an external flash, the pictures came out much better. The little flash that comes with most cameras cannot throw enough light into the room. Go to your local camera shop and see what they recommend.
Elizabeth, so many features, so many buttons, so many cool things you can do! It makes me dizzy! I am a REALTOR not a photographer, that being said, I just want something simple that gets the job done. I have a small pocket camera, a Canon Powershot that I think takes nice pics. One thing I learned from the AR forum was to take pictures while on my knees. That little trick made my simple photos much better. I rarely have to change a picture, by lightening it, as the colors seem to come out pretty true. I use Picassa occasionally to fine tune a pic but other than that I have been quite satisfied with my little pick pocket camera, which I carry with me always.
Good Morning Elizabeth, an excellent question. The current answers will be interesting to review, I will stop back.
