SPRING Forward ............ YES!

By
Real Estate Agent with Kee Realty

It is that time ......... Daylight Saving Time or DST as some call it officially starts Sunday, March 13th at 2:00 a.m. Don't forget to (spring fwd)  set your clocks ahead 1 hour before you go to bed.

Yeah you lose an hours sleep, but ....... it stays light out later in the evening and this is one sure sign that it's almost spring! Even though it might not look or feel like it outside! Spring / Summer is right around the corner! Buyers looking at Homes for Sale will enjoy this also, as it gives us more time to view homes in the evening. This is also an added benefit for Sellers!

**** Don't Forget to CHANGE THE BATTERY'S in your SMOKE DETECTORS also! ****

         Interesting DST Facts

  • Hawaii and Arizona are the only 2 states in the U.S. that don't observe DST
  • It is said that Ben Franklin was the 1st person to suggest the concept of DST
  • It is technically called Daylight Saving Time (not Savings) as many refer to it

Have a Great Weekend and don't forget to Spring Forward!

I heard the term "Daylight Rearrangement Time" the other day, and thought that really sums it up!

No springing forward or falling back for us in Arizona. We don't have to change our daylight to try and catch more rays. We have sunshine almost everyday of the year.

Mike -- I just learned that it's daylight saving time as the correct term.  I love it, even if we do lose an hour, because I know the warm weather here in CT is not too far ahead.
