Good interview but the guy on the right seemed stoned, distant, and had that glazed over eye look. Awfully quiet. Those kinda people make me wonder what are they thinking, play their cards really close to their chests. No hint of what is going on in the wheels of their head inside. Good video!

Thanks Andy, this guy still has a clear mind at age 96. A truly amazing man who did stuff his way at a time when everybody else was clearing land and just lining up the houses.

You can truly drive through most of Reston at night or when the trees all have their leaves and never know that you are surrounded by 60,000 people. Amazing. I love it when developers care for the land in an aesthetic way. It is possible to do beautiful work and still make a profit.

Hi Steve and Jan -- as always your videos are great and I enjoyed the comments, especially Andrews. Years back I worked in McLean at the "infamous" government building that attracts so much attention and I lived in Sterling Park. Reston was in it's beginning phases and had progressed along very nicely by the time I was able to take advantage of a governement early out and settle down here in Western NC. In Hendersonville and Asheville NC we also have a planned community called Biltmore Park, http://www.mybiltmorehome.com/broadlands/neigh_park.html. Kinda like combining the years past communities where you lived, grew up, went to school and worked all in the same place. Except now with a modern twist and at Biltmore Park there's a lot of concentration on green type construction, etc. Thanks for your videos and the memories. Sue of Robin and Sue

Barbara, the phone is ringing but I am not sure it is because of my video charm

William, my Dad was better looking than Bob.

Lee and Pamela, Thank you for the feature...I was actually there making another video that I havn't posted yet and decided to talk to Bob.

Brenda, Thanks for stopping by. I have heard nothing but good things about Bob in his natural state. If I am lucky maybe I can meet him. He is 96 years old I believe.

Thank you Phanntastics, I need to come up with some more Phannisms and post 'em to your blog.

Sue, The "infamous" government building is now as clearly marked as a Walmart :-) Sterling has expanded across route 7 all the way to the Potomac.

Shoot...I remind myself that if I had been with Uncle Sam I could be retired by now!

I have been in Ashville and Hendersonville. I ran over when visiting friends in Hickory. Everyone should come visit your area it is an outstanding retreat for body and mind! I checked out the biltmorehome weblink above...how amazing...that is what I am talking about! How much better is it to design land use around and including the natural beauty of an area. Hopefully this is the way it will be from now on...the smart aesthetic approach.

Thanks Jody, there are great examples to be found in this group...all kinds of effective communicating styles. The tough part is finding time to make good videos. I had hoped to make 2 per week. This week I will be lucky to get one done.
