Salem Oregon Things to Do this Weekend-Willamette Valley Vineyards Wine, Cheese and Pear Jubilee

Willamette Valley Vineyards Wine, Cheese and Pear Jubilee

Salem, Oregon, are you looking for something fun to do this weekend?  Willamette Valley Vineyards is hosting their yearly Wine, Cheese and Pear Jubilee this weekend.

This year's vendors include Willamette Valley Cheese Company, Rogue Valley Creamery, Alsea Acre Pines, Fairview Farm Dairy, Briar Rose Creamery, Cada Dia Cheese, Ochoa's Queseria, Oak Leaf Creamery and more.    Hours are from 11 am to 6 pm both days, and the cost is $10.  Event runs on March 12th and 13th.

Last year we attended and tried a fantastic cheese made with Lavender from Rogue Valley Creamery, and I have seen since that this cheese won an award.  Willamette Valley Vineyards also had cheese boxes available for purchase last year, so they probably will this year also.  We bought one last year, along with some wine, and enjoyed a nice sunny afternoon out on the deck of Willamette Valley Vineyards after we were done tasting.  It makes for a very relaxing day off with beautiful views.

Wow, wine, cheese and pears--what could be better than that? Maybe some chocolate for dessert! How are you, Mel? Did you have fun at this event?

Thanks Li!  We always enjoy the events at Willamette Valley Vineyards.

JoAnne-I had to have some again this year.  There was also a lot of goat cheese this year.  I tried a couple of pieces of that also.  Interesting...

Hi Gail-yes, I have been a bit quiet.  I've had a busy couple of weeks! Hope you are enjoying the same :-)

Hi Toni-I'm doing good-thank you for asking.  The Chocolate one was in February, and it was delicious also!
