Speechless Sunday (almost!): We'll meet again dear friend!
A true friendship has the ability to last over decades and into our older years. These are friends you know are there for celebrations of life and to back you up during times of grief.
This is dedicated to Darell and to all my good friends out there who I love and cherish and look forward to our next get-together!
Darell L. Smith ~ December 8th, 1962 ~ March 11, 2011 ~ Rest in peace my friend, we will meet again.
Thanks Rich. He will be buried on St. Patrick's Day, his favorite holiday. He definitely is a one-of-a-kind person who brought light into the world! I was oh-so lucky to know him.

He meant so much to so many people who were inspired by his positive outlook on life. Born as a dwarf with Osteogenisis (brittle bone disease), he never walked but he definitely was a mover! He refused to allow his disabilities to interfere with his life as he travelled, went to NFL games, NBA games, NHL games. His list of friends is long and the respect for him immense as he left this world a much better place by being here.
You are right my friend you will meet again. Finding friends that will stick with you through think and thin decade after decade are hard to find and when you lose one it is a real tragedy. Sorry for you loss, but once again you will meet again.

Liz, By being positive about Darell allows me to honor him the way he'd wish. I take relationships very seriously and he will never be replaced as he holds a special place in my heart. Thank you Liz.

I appreciate that Nevin. It was always hard for me to say goodbye to loved ones so I would say see you soon...that seems to be more comforting.
