Not a Joke to Joey

Meet Joey my long legged six year old babe who is on his 4th life. He is prone to scrapping with dogs and as he was declawed as a kitten its a miracle he survives. He is known as a biter!

 Joey the cat

He was de-clawed before i got him and so i "tried" to keep him indoors. FAT Luck I had in all! Five years later he never comes in doors for longer than a "Hello and where is my Tuna?" In addition to his lack of claws he came with kennel cough and ever sense he has had weepy eyes. The vet recommended some exspensive goo that didn't work in the first place. It has been five years and the discharge from his eyes doesn't seem to hurt him or slow him down; but it does not look very pretty and he is the sort of cat that would rather roll in the dirt than clean himself daily. Has anyone else had this problem? And more to the point, what do I do about it?

Hi Shelley, My Barkley, loves it inside just looking out the window.   But, I had a cat in Missouri that loved it outside and he would take on anything. Joey is very pretty.

Robert, Pous-pous is great! I always wanted a calico cat, though perhaps without the red eyes!-lol

Candy- I believe I've seen a couple pictures of your charming little man Sir Barkley, though perhaps little isn't the word. Big and gorgeous are more to the point!

Harold

Shellee - Harold is impossible to keep inside.  He will smack me, attack me, do whatever it takes to get outside.   If do detain him, he will attack the other kitties and the dogs, too.  He looks mighty sweet though, doesn't he?

Briggy, his daughter, is equally as bad.  Although I never let her outside, she always wanted to get out.  Then I discovered one day that she had gotten out.  This has happened many times since, and I quickly learned that she was actually slitting the screens in the windows and jumping out.  Looks so innocent, too!  Briggy

Joslyn- I don't know if it just me, but I can't see your pictures. And yes they often do look so innocent but they're far from it!

Shellee, does Joey have only two colors?  I once heard that if a cat had more than two colors, it was a female...  old wives' tale perhaps...

Only two colors indeed Robert! But my other young cat has tones of black brown and white and he is as male as they come! So i am thinking wives tale it must be!
