Local residents of the City of Encinitas, Ca community are invited to be part of Encinitas history-- by selecting the name for the newest city's park.
Encinitas residents are encourage to email the city or stop by in person to submit name suggestions for the community park being build on the former 44-acre Hall property.
This is an exciting opportunity for our resident to help name Encinitas' newest park. The Parks & Recreation Department is welcoming all suggestions. You can submit park ideas via email to the city at recreg@cityofencinitas.orgor in person at the Park & Recreation Commission meeting on March 15 at City Hall located at 505 Vulcan Ave. Email suggestion must be received by noon March 15,2011.
The new community park will be approximately 44 acres and will include athletic fields, a skateboard park, a dog park, walking trails and other amenities. The top 10 names will be sent on to the Encinitas City council for approval. The winner will be invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.
