This is the fist of three posts about the area of my expertise. Santa Monica, Brentwood and this article about Pacific Palisades. I basically am working on Santa Monica Houses, Brentwood Condos and Pacific Palisades Houses and Condos. All three communities are part of West Los Angeles Real Estate where my company is situated
Pacific Palisades
Running from Brentwood on the East, to the ocean on the west, it includes the Santa Monica Mountains anruns along the coast between Santa Monica on the south and Malibu in the 
north. Pacific Coast Highway runs North and South forming the western boundary, while Sunset Boulevard runs east and west directly through the heart of The Palisades.
It has three distinct communities; the bluffs, the highlands and the coast. The bluffs run along the ocean and its central hub is the “Palisades Village”. Sitting high along the coast they command fantastic views of the coastline. The highlands are in
the Santa Monica Mountains with the highest of these communities having city and ocean views that look like you are landing a plane. Lastly the coast which sits across from the Ocean is a seaside community with a distinct quality of life that is different from the rest of the Pacific Palisades
The best way to describe the Palisades is as a combination of the lifestyles of Santa Monica and Malibu, The Palisades neighbors. The housing market is approximately 70% single family homes the balance made up mostly of Townhomes with a very small percentage of condos. Townhomes start around $500K and goes up over $2M, while single family homes start around $1.25M and go as high as the mountains that make up the Palisades.
Although having some restaurants and shops you will be doing most of your shopping and entertainment in the neighboring communities of Santa Monica and Malibu. Pacific Palisades is 10 minutes from Santa Monica and 15 minutes from Malibu. To venture into Westwood and Beverly Hills 
will take you 20 and 30 minutes respectively.
The Palisades is a family community with life revolving around your home. Of course being a family community you have your choices of great public schools along with a host of private schools. There are numerous houses of worship covering all religions along with some hippie communes left over from the 60’s up in the mountains.
