St. Patrick's Day Festival, Emerald Isle, NC...What a Blast!
If you missed the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Emerald Isle, North Carolina yesterday...You must catch it next year. We spent much of our Saturday playing, eating, riding, petting, walking, mining, feeding the turtles, and people watching. One of my favorite things about the Crystal Coast are the festivals that take place every year. From the Festival of Trees at Christmas time, Lobster Fest, Clam & Oyster Festival, Seafood Festival in the fall, Harvest Festivals to the Pirate Festival that will take place this Summer.
The St. Patrick's Day Festival is a great place to speak with local business owners, meet other parents (while standing in line for tickets or cotton candy), and is also a great way to support our community and local organizations such as P.A.W.S. (Pet Adoption Program), The EI Fire & EMS Department, and many others.
Tanner (our six year old) enjoyed the Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and Funnel Cakes the most. I enjoyed the music, the bright colors, the sound of folks laughing and having a good time, and seeing a big ol' smile on my child's face. What a great day we had at the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Emerald Isle.
