In 1956, O’Fallon Missouri’s 100th anniversary, the census showed the population to be 1,327 people, and the town measured about 20 blocks square. By 2000, the U.S. census put O’Fallon Missouri’s population at 46,169 people, and the city had grown to 26 square miles. Today, O’Fallon’s population is over 70,000.

In 2006, the City of OFallon MO celebrated two milestones – first, its 150th Sesquicentennial anniversary.  This included many events throughout the year for all to enjoy.  And secondly, a New Year’s Eve party on December 31, which included filling a time capsule with predictions for the next century.  I wonder where our fair city will be in 2106.  It is sure to be far different than we know it today!!

In late July of 2006, the City of O’Fallon MO was named as a “Best Place to Live” by Money magazine. To celebrate the honor, the City partnered with local businesses and the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and held several events to thank residents and businesses, and raised funds that were donated to a community charity. In addition, an annual program to recognize outstanding residents, “O’Fallon’s Citizens of Achievement” was established.

When it comes to amenities, O’Fallon Missouri’s 475 acres of parks include some of the best outdoor practice and playing fields in the region for soccer, baseball, softball and football, plus playgrounds and picnic pavilions, walking and jogging paths, historic sites, landscaped beds and natural areas.
For indoor recreation, the Renaud Spirit Center offers state-of the-art fitness and game facilities, an aquatic complex, and a multitude of recreational programs for all ages and abilities.

Wow a big drop for one year time frame.  We have seen drops like this for about 5 years now and the home prices are such where things are selling a bit quicker.  Good for buying but not so much for some sellers

OFallon and Missouri as a whole sure does offer folks some mighty fine living, and sure does have a lot of Rich History to learn. No matter what folks like to do, they sure will find it in the Grand State of Missouri. You sure did take a mighty fine photo of the clock.

I got lucky with the photo and a pretty day too.  You are so right sir there is a lot of history in the St. Charles county area.
