Paying It Forward: A Little Good Will to Goodwill!
If you're anything like us, you probably realize at some point you have too much stuff! Old clothes...yep, those Bugle Boys AREN'T coming back into style anytime soon (but some teenager may LOVE them), gifts that just "aren't you", maybe some small appliances that still work, but you've replaced.
Now you COULD have a yard sale, spend most of Saturday with everyone offering you two bits for that and a buck for this and STILL have a lot of stuff left over at the end....OR you could pack up that extra stuff and head to the local Goodwill! Now if you live anywhere near Lebanon, there are TWO huge Goodwill stores with drop off facilities. The one east of Lebanon by the Bob Evans on SR123 is supported by the Cincinnati Chapter, and the one north of Lebanon in front of the Walmart on SR42 that just opened is supported by the Dayton Chapter.
Either place, your donations get turned into cash that helps Goodwill with their job programs and other charitable work. And as you suspect, you can write off your donations on your taxes....although if you're planning on running for President, you MIGHT want to leave off the mention of those skivvies! :)
A quote from our friend in North Carolina:
"I do not share my stories of paying it forward for recognition. I share them so that others might be inspired to do what they can, when they can, where they can. No more, no less." Tish Lloyd, North Carolina REALTOR®
