Browerville Alumni Tournament Update

Its seems like forever since I posted a blog, but its only been two days.  My home computers hard drive crashing along with heading to my hometown Browerville to hang out with my parents and play in the Browerville Alumni Basketball tournament has kept me off Active Rain for the most part.

My parents have a slower but working computer so here I am.  First the basketball tournament went pretty well.  I was on the "old guys team" (meaning the oldest players get grouped together).  I was the youngest on the team.  However, my conditioning probably did not look like it. I am not in basketball shape after not having played in two years.  I am really really sore all over today. That's in part because we won our first 2 games getting the bid to the extra third game - the championship game.

Once again as past years all the older guys seemed to run out of gas, shots were not falling and we ended up losing by about 12 or 14 points to a younger and in shape team of guys in there low 20's.

My defense was poor, my rebounding was above average and my scoring was average.  I think my lack of conditioning has inspired me to work out harder to stay in better shape.  I would like to get in a basketball league next year.  Its fun to get up and down, but would be much better if I were in shape.

Chjuck, I find that the memory in my mind is in tip top shape, but my body says otherwise.
