Read Matthew 4:1-11
At that time Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert
to be tempted by the devil.
He fasted for forty days and forty nights,
and afterwards he was hungry.
Lord Jesus, as we venture more deeply into this Lenten season, send your Spirit into our hearts that we might remain faithful to your word and your way. So many temptations pull at us; so many distractions prevent us from living in your presence. In your kindness, send angels to minister to us.
