Spring has Finally arrived in Nashville TN!

I arrived home late afternoon on Wednesday after a day of rain and stress, only to see the sun break out and the beautiful blooms of the Tulip Magnolia at the front of my house.

Connie, what a wonderful surprise welcome from your new home! Santa Fe is still waiting for Mother Nature to make her presence known.

I love Nashville and the surrounding areas.  I try to visit at least every other year to see the Grand Ol' Opry, Music Row, even the remnants of Johnny Cash's home in Hendersonville.  Last year on the stop was the Hermitage.  Beautiful state of Tennessee and great southern hospitality.

Thank you!    I love magnolia trees (sometimes called "tulip trees" up here!).    We have them, but not until May.

Emily - I'm loving being in the new house and everyday discover something new in the yard!

Cheryl - I moved here in January of 1985. When I got married in '90 I made my husband agree to move back when he took early retirement. I can't really imagine living anywhere else!

Chris - When the daffodils pop up I know we're getting close but this is a sure sign!

Li - They call them by both names here.

Beautiful. I have one in front of my home too here in Delaware but it hasn't bloomed yet. It should this week though. I love all of the spring time colors.

Kate - spring is truly my favorite time of year!

JoAnn - I knew the tree was in  the Magnolia family, but I had no idea what kind it was. What a pleasant surprise!

Steve - Thank you. Happy Sunday to you!

I'm starting to see the flowering plum trees bloom here with the same kind of colors. Hope the temps stay 'spring-like' for a while before we hit the triple digits of summer.

Wonderful looking blossoms, Connie!  I'm glad that spring has arrived there. . .I just realized the other day, that Tennessee is one state I haven't visited.

Connie...happy Sunday to you too.  It has just been beautiful in East Tennessee this weekend.  The temps have been close to 70 and the sun has been out.  I love this time of year!

Chris - my brother came down from New Jersey to move me week before last. It was snowing when he left and when he returned home!

John - I know exactly what you mean!! After that cold snowy winter, I could use some moderate temperatures.

Myrl - You don't say! It's a beautiful state that runs from the plains by the Mississippi river to the Mountains in the east. I love it here.

Kim - I think it hit 75 on Saturday. Absolutely beautiful. Glad you got the same weather!

Ted - I'm off to see your pictures!!

DeeDee - It's not your standard Magnolia. I have one of them in the backyard. This is often just called a Tulip Tree, or like I called it a Tulip Magnolia! This tree looses it's leaves where a standard magnolia has them year round.
