Newly Released Data Indicates Manatee County Florida Foreclosure Case Backlog Down By 21%, Far Below The Pace Needed To Meet Statewide Goals.
Data released on February 1, 2011 indicates that Manatee County Florida has decreased its Foreclosure case backlog by 21%, which is far short of the pace needed to meet the county's goal of reducing the Foreclosure backlog by at least 62% by July 1, 2011. The data also indicates that of the more than 17,000 unresolved Foreclosure cases currently in the pipeline, more that 16,000 of those cases have been declared "inactive" due to "extenuating circumstances," which keeps the courts from formally closing out those cases.
