No, it's not a boy or a girl, it's ... a staged home! A custom home that I evaluated to stage way back on June 1st of 2010 lingered on the market for nine months. The owner/builder wouldn't budge; he thought the house should sell on the merits of the finishes, location, quality of worksmanship, etc. The realtor/investor was much more understanding of the reality, but couldn't get the owner on board. So, you win some, you lose some, right?!
Fast forward to Tuesday, February 22nd. The email came from the realtor: "I think that we will stage the home in Camarillo ourselves. The seller does not feel that he can afford to stage it. I do not feel that we can afford not to." By Thursday, February 24th I had a contract in hand, and furniture ordered. Saturday the 26th I staged the property.
From start to finish, this job took an entire 9 months ... 39 weeks ... 273 days. Here are a few pictures of the finished product. And just like any proud mama, I think my "baby" is the cutest on the block!
