Have you ever thought about being a SUPERHERO?
As a young boy I wish I could fly, save lives and now as an adult I realize I don't need to be able to fly to save a life. The fact is I can just be me and donate an hour or two ever six weeks. The American Red Cross needs your blood, no matter the type. So, instead of saying "Oh, I'll donate blood next week" and then next week never comes. Donate today while you have time and are thinking about it.

Donate to the Red Cross

Donating blood is quick, easy and like I said only takes a couple hours. Then the rest of the day or evening you can be the hero you are and where the sticker that tells the world that you are a hero, the one that says "I DONATED BLOOD TODAY!"

Here are the blood donation centers in Tigard and Beaverton, Oregon, for this upcoming week. (Click on links for map)

Todd, I used to be an organizer for the Red Cross in Faribault County, Minnesota.  When we organized those drives, farmers would come in from the fields to donate.  There was amazing dedication to such a simple contribution to the greater good.  Thanks for sharing this.

Todd, I ALWAYS gave Blood until they told me I can't. I was stationed in Germany in the 80's. They won't allow me to donate anymore. Sad, when soooo many people need the gift of life. I made it to two Gallons before the brakes were put on.

Todd. This is a great public message - Give and give often and make sure you eat before donating!

Todd,

Been a regular donor since college.  I don't like needles, but the cookes and milk were always great.  It is such a simple way to give back.  I think of it as giving so that some day when I may need it, there will always be a supply of people who are willing to donate.
