If It's Sunday...It's Pizza! (Speechless Sunday)

Pizza fixins

Pizza by Laura
20 minutes later...It's dinner!
Baby Calzone
And a Baby Calzone from left over dough!

Sunday has always been pizza for dinner since I was a little kid!  Since I'm older than dirt, and for you that aren't; that's when a pizza was about $2 or $3 for a pie, that's before delivery pizza, that's before frozen pizza at the supermarket and that's before you could buy pizza dough!

I began making my own Sunday night pizza about a year ago...I like it with a super thin crust, a little well done, with some dollops of ricotta! (Ricotta and mozzarella cheeses are part skim!)

Laura -- Pizza? Did someone say pizza?  One of my favorite words.  When I was younger we used to make our own pizza for Friday night dinner.  My brother used to try to spin the dough around and throw it in the air only to have it come down and go right through his hand or fall elsewhere. It was always so much fun. Yours look delicious as well.

Laura, I think it tastes better when you make it yourself - except for that chain in Rehobeth and Bethany Beach!  Love that stuff.

Hi Laura, I certainly have to agree with Pat, homemade really does taste better. We don't have the best Pizza out here like back East. Love the post and thanks for sharing all your photos of yours.

Laura, It looks delicious!  I am going to have to try it with Riccota!  It has been a long time since we did a homemade pizza!  We may have to try it again!

Laura - if it wasn't 1:30 in the morning, I'd be ordering a pizza right now. My mouth is watering and it isn't pretty - lol. Lucy you - I should learn how to make my own too.

Sure looks good and now we know where to visit on Sunday nights when we are in your area.
