•The statute of frauds requires that certain types of contracts, to be enforceable, be in writing and be signed by all parties. Contracts required to be in writing and signed are of two general types: -those that will not be performed within a short time and those that deal with specific subjects.
•To be enforceable in Florida, an agreement or promise that cannot be performed by both parties within one year after the contract date must be written. -Also, an agreement to sell or the actual sale of any interest in real property must be in writing and must be signed by all parties bound by the contract.
