This is one of a series titled Be aware of your surroundings, and let people know where you're going While I was out previewing properties, I came across this: I do let other people know where I'm going, though, and when I should be back. As the nation and the world continues to become even more overpopulated than it already is, and with a poor economy, there are more and more people out there looking to rob, injure, or kill people who are in the wrong place at the wrong time, so be aware of your surroundings so that you're not one of them. The bad person could even be your Client; we had a real estate agent murdered by his Client a couple of years ago, so even if you trust that person, remember that for the most part you haven't know him/her for very long, so always let a family member of your office manager know where you are and what you're doing. If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, I'm available 24/7, so feel free to contact me by phone or email. Jim Frimmer, Realtor ♪♫♫♫♪ ♪♫♫♫♪ Recent blog posts:

There was no baby in that stroller, but the condition of the yard and the empty stroller did have me thinking about personal safety as I'm out and about without any one with me.

Excellent advice Jim. We all know of horror stories. Always take extra measures to ensure your safety.
Jim~ Extra important to be careful of your surrondings for personal safety! Thanks for the reminder!
Great advice. From time to time, agents are the target. We had two agents robbed and killed in a model home a few years ago.
Good advice, Jim. Be aware, stay alert, and keep in touch with someone by Cell Phone as you travel from house to house.
Great warning. We sometimes get so excited about having new clients we can let the basics get away from us - not good. Thanks.
Jim. It can be scary out there. That is why I work with a male partner. There have been realtors raped and murdered here in Denver as well. You just never know about people these days.
Last week I walked the trails and found a scooter laying on the edge of the trails and there were no kids around. I called out for someone, anyone, and no one answered. I got a little nervous about the scooter, especially since the creek was running. My first thought, was where there's a kid's toy, there should be a kid.
So I called the police but he didn't think there was anything unusual about it. He didn't even write up a report and told me, stuff like this happens all the time.
Are Realtors the only concerned citizens?
