Speechless Sunday: The Nice Thing About Springing Forward

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH@properties AB95346

The thing I liked about tonight's sunset wasn't that it was just beautiful.  But the main thing was that it happened at 7:30 pm!

While I hate losing that extra hour of sleep (and doesn't it seem like it gets lost every day?) I do love that it stays lighter longer.  Makes it easier to schedule showings after work!

I was driving along the Clara Barton Parkway and had to pull the car over and pull out my camera!

Pat, So true.  We did an Open today and were still able to enjoy some time in the remaining daylight.

Have a great week!

Patricie, I AM THRILLED TO LOSE THE EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP; I love the long evenings and have been counting the days.  It can't get too warm for me; I love the long evenings and the heat.  I always hear people complain about our summer and I LOVE IT!!

Hi Pat... I love daylight savings time, but it always seems to mess up my sleeping patterns.

Good thing you had your camera with you, that is a terrific shot. Having later sunsets are defiantly the best part of daylight savings!

Pat, I love daylight saving time and can't wait for it every year.  The hardest part about winter for me is the short days.  Great pic!!

While we may have sprung forward, I am still on the same schedule....I just get up at 8 rather than 7. Not sure when I will make that transition....definitely by the time I am in DC!!!

Thank you for your comments!

And guess what?  I overslept this morning.  Really overslept.  So that sort of cancels out the going to bed early on Saturday night and up early on Sunday!  I'll lose that stupid hour yet again.

Drats!  Still, it's going to be warm and spring-y all week, so nature is certainly making it up to us.

Pat - I love the extended daylight hours, too!  I was a little confused, though, last night.....started dinner way too late because I forgot the time had changed.....and I was just going off of the amount of daylight left outside and my oven clock....which I forgot to move ahead....oooppppssss!

Pat, great picture, glad you took the time to stop and snap it so you could share it with us.  I was working on a Facebook page for another business and thought it was 3 am when going to bed, until my husband woke up and told me it was 4 am!  Wouldn't you know it, I needed to be up by 7 for a commitment.  But, like others here, I love the extra hour in the evenings, it is such a peaceful time.

OK, Patricia.  I'll give you that one.  It took me almost a week to recover from "springing forward".  I wish we could all just be like Arizona where they don't have to change their clocks.

Pat - I'm always so happy to have the extra hour of light though I miss that extra hour of sleep for the first few weeks.
