Thoughts on Japan and the NYC Bus Wreck

By

It is so easy for us to complain about so many things. But how lucky we are.  Prayers to the many in Japan who are so devasated. For those who not only have lost all but have lost loved ones and it will be months before they see the light of recovery.

For those not on the east coast you might not have heard of the hoibble accicent that so far has taken 14 lives of the 33 on board a bus headed home from a CT casino to NY.  All that have survived are in critical condition.  The bus rolled over 100 feet and was split in half at a road sign.

While times have been tuff for many of us.... they do not compare to what these people are going through.  They need our prayers .  We need to be thankful for our blessings!

My prayers to all of you for the good you do in your lives and my thankfulness for that.

Victoria - I saw the news at NYTimes.com and it was horrible.  I just moved south three weeks ago so I'm still interested on what happens up north and I just read this thing this morning.  We should count our many blessings and pray for those affected with this accident and that one in Japan.

Hi, Victoria.

We complain about the price of gas, about the decrease in our income due to the economy, about politics and taxes...  and then we see this Apocalyptic devastation in Northeast Japan.

My friend who is from Japan, has not been able to reach his brother or sister since this tragic event.  He believes they are okay (they live in Tokyo), but phone lines and communications in Japan are a mess, and he cannot get through.

The horrors that the Japanese people are facing - and the tragedy of the bus accident in New York - and the family murdered in Israel - and the Libyans being killed by their own "leader" - make my little problems seem trite and insignificant.

I can't even imagine what those Japanese citizens are going through.

My God, it was such an awful combination of earthquake, Tsunami and nuclear meltdown.

All I can do is send good energy and donate to the reputable international aid organizations.

Victoria,  Life is so much more rewarding when we do count our blessings and look out for those that are less fortunate than we are!  Have a Great Week!
