This Beautifully Updated Boca Raton Condo Needed Just a Little Softening.

By
Home Stager

Room Service! Home Staging was called upon recently to see if adding a little "jewelry" might help their Boca Raton Florida condo sell.  The owners are out of town, so they asked their Realtor to find a home stager and see just what could be done.

This Boca Raton Condo along A1A has beautiful hardwood flooring, and updated Master Bath and custom touches that you just have to see in person.

The condo was furnished but the "softer" touches of a home were with their owners out of state.   Take a look:

Entry     entry
The entry was not very inviting and small.  There was no room for a small table but a mirror brightened it up.

          Living Room     Living Room
The Buyer is "blocked" by all of the furniture which made little sense. We repositioned the furniture to "let" the Buyer into the space.

               Master Bath                                     Master Bath
All that was needed here were some soft touches to warm up this Master Bath.

Staging can be done on whatever budget you choose.  If you have a home that is for sale and it needs just a little touch to make it come to life.... contact Room Service! Home Staging.

Judy- When I first walked into the condo it did look like a furniture showroom.  Thankfully the pieces weren't too hard to move!

Linda- thanks!  We were working under a deadline and limited budget but the details the owner put in really are the "sellers' in this condo.

BARFF- wish you could see some of the touches they put in.  Very nicely done.

Toni- Thanks!  Let's hope the buyers will see this!

Gary- Hi and thank you.  It didn't take much for this one!

Kristine- thank you... and BARFF stands for Best ActiveRain Friends Forever, which I coined in a previous post (can't remember which one)

Barbara- absolutely... this condo had all the great bones, just needed a little softening.

Gabe- Yes, let's hope it sells before the end of the season!!!

Kathy, A home stager has to have a keen eye to envision just what a space needs. You have that eye and you do a beautiful job!

Kathy - I have to say, when I saw the originial living room layout, all I wanted to ask was "why"?...  You made sense of that previously chaotic layout!  I also love the way that even though there wasn't room for an entry table, you still made the most of the space by adding the mirror and artwork, giving a great first impression as buyers walk in the door.  Great job!

Kathy -- what a huge difference your staging made in this condo! The living room now has a focal point, and buyers can now see how spacious it really is.  The master bath and entry hall look "just right" -- your enhancement of this home will truly help it to sell.

Sandy- thanks for the kind words.  This is a well done condo for someone wanting the extra updates.

Sally- you and I had the same first impression.  My first thought were to start moving stuff around!  When I first took the photo of the entry the door was shut and almost knocked myself out trying to back into it so I could take the picture.

Maureen- You always have just the right words.  I'm hoping others will see it!

Al and Peggy- I hope it says "Welcome" to some buyers... and soon!

Preparing your property for sale

HI Kathy, it makes you wonder how they lived in the house with the living room furniture positioned the way it was. You have the eye to make the difference. They are very fortunate to have found you to help market this house for sale. I think it would have been on the market for a long time if kept the way it was.

Kathy, great job at staging this condo.  What a change the mirror made in the hall, moving the furniture around and adding the small touches to the bathroom.

I had to go back and look at the before of the living room again because I thought it was a shot of your furniture delivered and not yet positioned...I had no idea it was actually the room furnished!  What a difference you made when you opened it up!

H Kathy--Wow, the difference in that living area is huge.  I love when moving the furniture makes such a huge difference.  As always, nice work and great post.

Kathy, isn't it amazing how some furniture rearrangement and little touches of accessories can change this space from boring to welcoming

Michelle- I was curious too.  I have a feelling they watched television in the study.

Rebecca- Thanks!  I think if all I did was move the furniture it would have made a huge change.

Sharon- When I first saw the room on the MLS I thought the same thing.  It didn't make sense.

Janet- Thank you!  Sometimes moving the furniture is all it takes!

Anna- This was an easy one compared to some!

Hi, Kathy! Sorry to be so repetitive to the other comments, but that Living Room transformation was incredible! I can only imagine how the homeowners reacted when they returned home after your changes -- delighted I'm sure!

Debra- This one really didn't take much; I had good bones to work with.

Leslie- I hope they are.  They were out of town so when I sent them the photos, I made sure to tell them where I'd put the missing pieces of furniture!!

Kathy.  I love examples of where rearranging furniture opens up the space.   I see photos on the MLS all the time where I start mentally rearranging  the furniture.   Arranging furniture to showcase a space is a skill!

Valerie- It has clean lines and marvalous updates.

Beverly- Thank you-  The furniture is the client's and very "today".  As I like to say, the condo has great "bones" but just needed a little extra!

Mannie- Thank you for your kind words.
