Eating On-The-Go?

Real Estate Agent with Prudential CT Realty

Eating On-the-Go

As Realtors, we are usually on the road and on-the-go because of the nature of our role. That means we'll either have to buy something to eat at a fast food joint or carry along something in our cars. Since dealing with Milford CT homes for sale gets hectic, I tend to go for the latter, as I prefer having small meals I made or my own snacks rather than the oh-so-healthy fast food ;)

Once in a while, I'll treat myself to something at the Golden Arches as it's quick, convenient, and relatively cheap. However, we all know the long-term effects of having this kind of food often. I don't want to drop dead when there are Milford CT homes for sale that require my attention haha.

So how do you deal with the constant hussle and bustle as a Realtor? Do you eat out and order fast food often? Or do you bring along your own food with you in the car?

I invested in a small cooler that can hold a container with salad with chopped up chicken and fruit, or sandwiches and cool drink. I usually find a nice place to park, with a view or at a park and have a book at the ready if I can't find a view.

If you're not a sandwich/salad maker, most supermarkets have a deli section with sushi, sandwiches, veggie platters and sliced cheese and buns, so you can make your self a nice picnic if you're so inclined.

You don't have to eat poorly because you're on the road, you just have to either plan ahead, or choose wisely.

I try to time things so that I am not hungry while I'm out and about, but when I do need to stop for lunch, I usually go to Sonic. Half-price drinks between 2-4!

Hi, Lydia.

Slightly Off Topic:

Forbes had an interesting piece on McDonald's, and the decline of their Food, that anybody over the age of 40 can agree with:

I have a smoked turkey sandwich on whole grain, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and mustard. A pickle wedge, and a bag of chips. That's my lunch at Panera almost everyday!!!

Vickie - totally agree with you!

Peg - I use a small cooler as well, especially in the summertime :)

Rose - you're lucky you have a Sonic. I believe Milford, CT should be opening one soon, although one about 40 minutes away did open up in CT.

Fred - thanks for that article!

John - gotta love Panera. That sounds like such a delicious and complete lunch.
